American culture has become a hot house for paganism. All around us we observe a revival of witchcraft, talk of the goddess Sophia, radical feminism, and a militant homosexual agenda, all of which are based on a world view diametrically opposed to Judeo-Christian principles. Jones traces the underlying “ties that bind.”

In the first section, he deals with the origins and creed of the religious left. In the much longer, second section, there are chapters such as, “The Ancient Gnostic Bible,” “Gnostic Bible Study,” “The God of Ancient Gnosticism,” “The New Sexuality,” “Gnostic Sexuality,” and “Gnostic Spirituality.” This book is a primer on Gnosticism and is compelling reading. It is massively documented.

Jones’ volume is not all pessimism or doomspeak. He believes that the Gospel is the light, the answer, the antidote for the terrible darkness engulfing our land. He truly is a “Son of Issachar.”
